am constantly explaining to people what I do when I coach. It’s not a profession that most people really understand. It is confusing to some inside the industry as well. The reason is that it depends on you, the client, when you ask us to get involved.
Everyone I coach owns the agenda for what we are going to do in the time we share together. What I, as the coach, own is the structure of our time together. This is a very important understanding that makes coaches different from any of the other professions of consultant, mentor, family member or boss.
Having said that…at the core of everything I do is helping you see “how you are showing up”. This is not a very articulate question and it’s hard to grasp what that will bring up for any one individual, this is the work. This is the work that will get big changes in your ability to influence and your ability to lead, yourself and others.
How are you showing up? How are you showing up for life…relationships…work…friendships…children…parents?
Make an effort to change that and watch your world change!
